Many of you, well lets say just about 95 %, don’t know me and the struggles that has shaped my life. Starting this blog was recommended to me, by many, to have some sort of outlet where I can share the little things I have accomplished, made or found. So far my blog has been growing over the past year and a half but not as much as I would like. I know I have been on a mild hiatus from posting this year of 2014 and I want/need to change that.
The past few months I have been going through a change of routine, and not just me but also my family. This is the first year that I have been trying to put myself up front a little more instead of always putting every single need of my family before me….and it’s still hard to do.
During my life, especially the past 10 years, I have had many medical difficulties. Everything from bizarre food allergies (I will fill you in on that later), many different kinds of meds and even multiple rounds of chemotherapy.
My goal this year has been to really try and be much more active and change my lifestyle. I just want to feel better, have more energy and hey…if I can drop a few sizes while I’m at it even better.
But doing all of this is hard…
Some may argue “you have all the time in the world, you’re a stay-at-home-mom”.
Yes, even though I am home, I am still so very busy all the time.
My daughter is not in school full-time…yet, we are a one car family, living on one income, I can not have a gym membership, I volunteer at the school and I am the leader for a new Girl Scout Troop…of Kindergarteners.
And on another note, if you ♥ beef and pork this will be great for you. You know those “bizarre food allergies” I mentioned above? Yeah…well…I might be the queen of those.
If you haven’t noticed already, there is not one recipe for fish, seafood or any type of poultry on my blog. Yup…I’m extremely allergic to them all!
This is also why it is an extremely big challenge for me to find healthy recipes because so much out there always has chicken and/or fish 😦
So back to my point…I did have one right? So I am going to try and put a little different spin on my recipes that I post for the next few months. I’m trying to have a healthier spin on them…but not crazy where you wouldn’t have any of the items already in your kitchen. I’m hoping with this change along with Zumba a few times a week, I’ll begin to feel better, happier and maybe even healthy☺
So to wrap up this long, semi-rant post, I want to thank you. I started doing it for me and found out I really enjoy it and I love all of your comments! I read them all and it always puts a smile on my face.
